Before
This woman suffered from scars to her face. She also suffered from a loss of fat beneath the skin. This made her feel self-conscious.
After
She underwent “tissue expansion” where the normal skin was stretched and then the scars on her face were excised. This picture shows her 2 years after surgery. She still has a contour deformity at her jaw line.
This picture shows her three years after the scar revision surgery and 1 year after liposuction of the jowl region. While she has a feint scar on her cheek, her overall appearance is better.
This woman has scars to her inner arm due to a gunshot injury. Multiple pellets were removed. She also had tissue expansion of the surrounding skin around the scars.
The scars were removed and the “stretched skin” was advanced to replace the scars that were excised. She also received some abrasion of the treatment area, which helped improve the appearance.
